Each heart is individually shaped and decorated by hand, with one receiving a special finish of 24 karat gold lustre before being fired in the kiln for a third time. The hearts are carefully arranged in a floating balloon design on a polished porcelain surface, while the hand-drawn balloon ribbons are finished with translucent glaze applied using layered brushing techniques. As the light moves across the surface during the day, the glazed finish catches and reflects beautifully, bringing the piece to life.
Framed in a wooden box frame behind glass, this artwork makes a thoughtful gift for all of life’s occasions. It can also be personalised with a handwritten message or quote along the bottom of the piece, adding a meaningful finishing touch.
