Every heart is crafted and decorated by hand. One of the hearts gets extra special treatment with an application of a 24 karat gold lustre and is afterwards fired in the kiln for the third time. The hearts are carefully assembled together in this floating balloon design on a polished piece of porcelain. The balloon ribbons are drawn by hand before a coat of translucent glaze is applied using various brushing techniques. The light is caught and reflected by the glazed surface during the day making the piece come to life.Ā Ā
The piece is framed in a lovely 46 cm x 36 cm wooden box frame behind art glass.Ā
